Die historische Fachzeitschrift Quellen und Forschungen aus italienischen Archiven und Bibliotheken (QFIAB) erscheint seit 1898 und wird vom Deutschen Historischen Institut (DHI) in Rom herausgegeben. Die Artikel und Miszellen (mit Inhaltszusammenfassungen auf Deutsch bzw. Italienisch) behandeln Themen zu den Beziehungen zwischen Deutschland und Italien und zur italienischen Geschichte vom Frühmittelalter bis zur Zeitgeschichte. QFIAB enthält weiter den Jahresbericht des Direktors und Berichte zu Tagungen des Instituts und schließt mit einem großen Rezensionsteil (Anzeigen und Besprechungen) mit folgenden Unterteilungen: Allgemeines; Festschriften, Aufsatzsammlungen, Kongreßakten; Historische Hilfswissenschaften; Rechtsgeschichte; Mittelalter; Frühe Neuzeit; 19. Jahrhundert; Zeitgeschichte; Italienische Landesgeschichte (Nord-, Mittel- und Süditalien). Die Artikel und Besprechungen werden in der Regel auf Deutsch oder Italienisch publiziert. The specialist historical journal Sources and Studies from Italian Archives and Libraries first appeared in 1898, and is published by the German Historical Institute in Rome. The articles and miscellaneous contributions (with abstracts in German or Italian respectively) deal with topics in Italo-German relations and in Italian history from the Early Middle Ages to the present day. In addition, the journal contains the Director's annual report and reports on conferences organised by the Institute. It concludes with a large review section (announcements and discussions) with the following sub-sections: General; Festschriften, Essay collections, Conference proceedings; Ancillary historical disciplines; Legal history; Middle Ages; Early Modern Age; 19th century; Contemporary history; Italian regional history (Northern, Central and Southern Italy). The articles and reviews are generally published in German or Italian.
