The publication of the first edition of Human Sectional Anatomy by Butterworth in 1991 set new standards for the quality of cadaver sections and comparative radiological images (at that time, CT only). Bari Logan undertook an extremely detailed and time-consuming task to create these true-colour body sections, the quality of which has not been surpassed by anyone since.

The second edition was published in 1999, with the introduction of MRI scans, and was reprinted in 2001 as a paperback pocket version. The two editions sell side-by-side to different parts of the market. The third edition was published in December 2007.

The time has come for the third edition of the pocketbook version of this successful publication. The pocketbook edition is identical to the main third edition but reduced in size to 246 x 189 mm. The pocketbook, as with the main edition, retains the original cadaver sections, but is enhanced by updated radiological images (as imaging techniques have improved greatly in the past 5 years), plus additional useful notes.
