When her mother dies, little Enid goes to live in the mansion of the Erbins, her well-to-do relatives. With her father struggling to cope, Enid must rely on her native wit and mother’s advice to survive Uncle Horace, Aunty Celia, and—above all—their teenage son Geraint. This retelling of the classic Arthurian tale Geraint and Enid, from the Celtic myth cycle the Mabinogion, offers a fresh and original way of considering the medieval story.
