Detroit, Michigan, 1976: Eighteen-year-old Victor Carez used to live the high life with his father’s multi-million dollar company. After its collapse, Victor and his parents are forced to move to Detroit. Victor had no friends, and the collapse of his father’s company sent his father into a world of alcohol and abuse while his mother reverts to a daydreaming alcoholic state. Their friendship is soon shattered by a young man named Danny Ponchello, whose father is rumoured to be a mafia boss. Danny saves Victor from constant bullying and befriends him.
